The free kayak rentals were a nice touch for exploring the canal. The room I stayed in had some cleanliness issues, like damp sheets. it's reasonable for a quick stay.

The location is convenient with free kayaks and bikes for exploring. The breakfast options are quite limited and could use improvement.

Clean rooms with comfortable beds, but poor noise insulation and limited breakfast options.

Kayak and bike rentals are super handy for exploring! The individually packaged breakfast is convenient, even if it feels like a snack attack.
Photos online do not match the actual rooms.

The snorkeling was incredible. The staff helped with gear and showed us the best spots.
It wasn’t the cheapest option around but worth it.

Coconut Cay Resort provides an excellent getaway! We loved the kayaks and paddleboards, making it easy to explore the nearby canal. The friendly staff made our trip enjoyable, and the comfortable canal-side room with a lovely view made mornings special. Highly recommend for value and fun!

The location is a gem, perfect for exploring the Keys, yet the experience was marred by a rude receptionist. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, but it barely locked and came with unwelcome bugs after dark. Hot water was spotty, and an early-morning rooster provided unsolicited wake-up calls. While the pool was a nice touch, bathrooms were locked during peak hours, which felt off. The grounds need TLC; it seems underfunded despite its potential. A great grab-and-go breakfast, but a little more care and investment would go a long way in improving overall satisfaction.

Great location and amenities, but with notable drawbacks. The room was spacious and clean, and the grab-and-go breakfast was more than sufficient. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which enhanced the experience. Enjoyed kayaking and biking to nearby attractions; a fantastic way to explore the area. Ice-cold showers on a holiday weekend? Disappointing. Noisy room placement and a lack of basic amenities, like a closet, were issues. the mold smell was overwhelming, and it’s concerning that the staff overlooked these problems. Would I return? Potentially, but only if major improvements are made.

Great selection for a concise stay in Marathon with a great value-to-price ratio. Free kayaks included.

Delightful stay, delightful experience with extraordinarily clean accommodations and a charming outdoor deck perfect for sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying cocktails in the evening.
No negatives to report.

I can't believe how bad the smell was in our room—like something had died in there. We tried air fresheners, but nothing worked. It was just so uncomfortable and really ruined our stay. Definitely not worth the money.

During my stay, I was thrilled to find myself a short walk away from Jesse Hobbs Park, where I could enjoy the beautiful surroundings and relax in nature, while also being just about 500 meters from the thrilling Marathon Skate Park, perfect for a bit of fun and excitement. The hotel offered comfortable rooms and excellent amenities like kayaking, which my family loved, and the relaxed vibe made it feel like a true getaway. The on-site facilities were well kept, but I did notice some ongoing improvements needed in the room itself, like addressing minor maintenance issues.

Our family had an amazing vacation at the Marathon Florida resort, located minutes away from Sombrero Beach, Bahia Honda State Park, and the top scuba diving spots.
My kids wished for a designated children's play area.

the air conditioning in our room seemed a bit outdated and struggled to keep the room cool, especially during the hotter parts of the day. the lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room was disappointing, as we enjoy having a hot beverage in the morning. On a more positive note, the sitting area in our room was quite comfortable, and we appreciated having a small dining table to enjoy our meals. The patio outside our room was a nice touch, but the garden furniture could use some updating as it looked a bit worn out. In terms of amenities, the lack of a proper sink area in the bathroom was a bit inconvenient, and the free toiletries provided were basic and could be of better quality. We also found that the washing machine and dryer in the unit were not working properly, which was a bit frustrating. On the upside, the cookware and kitchen utensils provided in the room were sufficient for basic cooking needs. We also appreciated the presence of an AM/FM alarm clock and a flat-screen TV for entertainment purposes. Housekeeping services were decent, but there were times when we felt like the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. the grocery shopping service was a nice touch, but we found it a bit overpriced compared to shopping on our own. The laundry facilities on the property were convenient, although the machines could benefit from some maintenance to improve their functionality. our experience at Coconut Cay Resort had its ups and downs.

The location is unbeatable, right off the highway and super convenient! The saltwater pool was such a refreshing way to relax after a day of adventure. Plus, the staff treated us like family, making our stay feel super special!
Couldn't recommend more! ❤️🏝️

The bed was comfortable, providing good support for restful nights. the room felt dated and in need of refurbishing. Temperature control was adequate, but the noise level was disruptive. We faced the highway, making it hard to sleep peacefully with cars passing by. The curtains on the patio doors didn’t match and left gaps. Ants were a concern, and the furniture seemed shabby. The kitchen was a nice feature, but the television didn’t work. A little more attention to detail would elevate the comfort level significantly. Kayaking was enjoyable, though the equipment could use a clean.

I felt like a glamorous explorer with so many activities available. Snorkeling was extraordinary, and the beach was splendid. Loved the sense of adventure threading through each experience.
Who doesn't enjoy outdated rooms with a touch of shabbiness? .

We had a great experience at Coconut Cay Resort. the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and very helpful. the location was great for getting around the keys, and the accommodation provided a wonderful view overlooking the canal. the complimentary breakfast was adequate and filling, and we appreciated the amenities provided, such as the fishing rods and bicycles. Alex at reception was a standout asset for the hotel, demonstrating excellent service.
Couldn’t fault the friendly and helpful staff. 🌴

Great location for visiting the keys, with a nice canal beside the yard, and a pool area with BBQ and picnic facilities. Convenient Grab and Go breakfast packets with healthy options, and the possibility of kayaking and biking for a fun, active stay.
Felt like part of the family, no complaints.

The room had a nice bed and a great fridge to keep drinks cold. The property's location was convenient, making it easy to reach Key West within an hour. the staff, especially the maintenance guy, were super friendly and helpful. The weber grills and picnic area were enjoyable amenities to have during the stay.
The room had a very strong industrial cleaner smell that lingered for almost two days. There were unidentified stains on the walls and a large palmetto bug in the room.

the rooms were clean and spacious - the property was well maintained, and the staff were helpful. we loved the location and being able to easily access both key west and key largo. the grab and go breakfast was a nice touch - with juice - fruit - yoghurt - plus hot items like oats or pastries.
Would definitely recommend.

Close to Sombrero Beach & Bahia Honda Park. The service was A+. We had a blast scuba diving & fishing! So many shops and attractions nearby, epic location. The staff were chill and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
Wish they had a rad beach party or DJ by the pool for us young peeps.

We had a fantastic time at this hidden gem in Marathon. The resort's prime location allowed us to easily explore the Gulf and the ocean. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved using the kayaks to venture out into the canal and spot manatees. The spacious room with updated amenities and a lovely balcony provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Limited ground-floor rooms were available, causing inconvenience for guests with mobility issues.

During our Christmas stay, the location was perfect for accessing kayaking experiences and enjoying the tranquil environment. The amenities available, such as kayaks and bikes, added a nice touch to our vacation. Additionally, the opportunity for my son to fish in the nearby river right outside our patio was a highlight of our trip.
Our room was in dire need of updating and maintenance, with outdated furnishings and a subpar paint job attempting to cover it up. The accommodation for four guests lacked proper kitchenware and falsely advertised in-room laundry facilities.

The rooms were spacious and had a nice sitting area. The pool was enjoyable, and we liked the boat ramp. The breakfast was convenient for grab & go. However, the kitchen was inadequately stocked, and we ended up eating out due to small bugs and cockroaches in the unit. Overall I'd consider returning.
